THE STUDIO
A solid foundation
Founded in 1984, Indesign / CA is distinguished by its dual heritage rooted in the interactive fields of architecture and interior design. The multidisciplinary skills of its team members enhance this foundation with knowledge in industrial design, furniture design, and landscape architecture. Our combined experience in these areas allows us to design projects of all types, with a specialization in retail and residential architecture.
APPROACH
Human-centered architecture
With each project, we pursue a spatial composition which centers on the human being and his or her needs. This premise is both the starting and the end point of our creative process. We perpetually strive towards the best point of balance between the human, the space he interacts with, and the objects that will be found there for a specific or diversified purpose. In everything, we aim to give each space an atmospheric and material personality that allows people to immerse themselves in an experience that enriches their daily lives.

GARY CONRATH
Architect
Born and raised in Montreal, architect and interior designer Gary Conrath finished his degree in Architecture from the University of Montreal in 1978, and his DESS in Heritage Studies from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2007. He founded Indesign/CA in 1984 for the purpose of offering complete services for defining architectural and design projects. In addition to his architectural expertise, Gary has extensive knowledge and work experience in landscape architecture, and also does sculpture and furniture design.
JONATHAN CONRATH
Senior Designer, Project Manager
Jonathan Conrath holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Montreal. A member of our team since 2008, he is now a project manager. He has extensive expertise in designing large and small retail businesses and creating a distinct architectural identity for our clients. Jonathan’s attention to detail allows him to thoughtfully tackle all challenges in interior design and layout, and his excellent organizational skills help guide clients through the design, coordination and execution of their projects.
Veniamin Chukhovich
Senior Designer, Project Manager
A graduate in Architectural Technology (Cégep du Vieux Montréal), Veniamin has been part of our team at Indesign since 2010, where he is currently a project manager. Veniamin has a multidisciplinary profile, having worked as a concept artist in video games and as an industrial designer alongside his architectural expertise. Within the office, he specializes in code analysis, design of envelope details, and architectural rendering. Alongside his work at Indesign, Veniamin is also involved in community projects in Verdun, including the design of a green alley, and is currently pursuing the Syllabus program at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) in anticipation of obtaining his diploma and entry into the Order of Architects of Quebec.
